no drop below the waist from side to center front (will lengthen the appearance of the legs).

Panel prom dress cut gowns look good on average and short waisted women, but

prom dress will accentuate the appearance of long waistedness. Women who are heavier than they would like to be will look best in either a panel cut

gown (increases height) or a Princess bodice that is cut to the natural waist on the sides (will make hips appear larger, therefore waist will seem smaller) and those who's waist is larger than they would like should consider an off shoulder

design with prom dress fullness at the shoulder (broader shoulders make the waist appear smaller.) Do not consider a panel cut gown if your stomach is large below the waist. There is no way to disguise it in a gown that has no cut in skirts. To The prom dress Nines Dancewear is a strong proponent of woman should wear the gown, not vice Therefore, we tend to design gowns as frames that flatter the woman, but will not 'stand alone.' We tend to keep cut and line simple prom dress without whirly frills so often seen on the floor. To our mind (mine), I often cannot see the dancer for the dress! The Gown Should Flatter Your Dance Frame: If you dance American, any gown in the catalog will behave extremely well....quick to react prom dress to spin and turn. Your dance will be flattered more by Princess cut gowns with very full skirts (cloud like illusion.) If you dance International, Panel cut prom dress gowns can be cut to be extra full at sides and back, and relatively flat in front. Feathers can be added to all To The Nines Dancewear gowns if elected. You Should Catch The Judges Attention Immediately: The 1st place and last place are judged within 15 seconds of the dance heat. All other time is spent in placement of 2nd.... Therefore, it is imperitive that the judges see you immediately! And it is equally important that their initial reaction be very positive! Posture, dance frame, and attitude are essential and must be presented BEFORE you reach your floor position...as you walk(dance) onto the floor! A well

concieved gown worn by a proud dancer will go the extra mile in achieving this goal. Proper, flattering color(s), cut, and gown behavior all add to the judges anticipation of your abilities. Do not let

anyone tell you that costume doesn't matter.....dress like a competitive dancer

and you will be a DANCER. like a social dancer and you will be judged accordingly. Therefore, try to find a color that is not populating the floor at

any one time. We can find colors and combinations that are not only flattering to you,

but will be outstanding on the floor. Do not be afraid

of color, and do not be afraid of white. Be VERY careful of

black....black gowns require very special and

expensive treatment to be outstanding, but when a black gown is done

To The Nines, it can be a show stopper, especially at those times when black gowns are rare. Be careful of pastels, especially powder blue....this color can fade to gray in some lighting. Red is almost alway flattering, but is also very popular. Electric and royal blues are popular (but you will see a lot of these colors on the floor). How

Much Should I Spend On A

Gown, and Why Are They So Expensive? Ball Gowns Are Expensive Because they are
